H.I.S. is a multifaceted family owned and operated business in Northern California. Our business is separated into three branches, Hybrid Indigenous Stewardship, Hybrid Incident Support, and HIS Design Planning and Drafting Service.
Hybrid Indigenous Stewardship provides culturally appropriate land stewardship services focusing on land management, habitat restoration, and community engagement. Our mission is to use traditional ecological knowledge and modern methods, including prescribed burns, to restore and protect the natural resources across California. We work with private landowners, public agencies, and other organizations to ensure that our cultural and ecological resources are protected and preserved. Our team is comprised of professional land stewards and trained community members who have a passion for land stewardship, ecological restoration, and cultural preservation.
Hybrid Incident Support provides equipment and staff to support wild fire emergency response teams across the Western United States. Our mission is to provide emergency response teams with the best support services available. We work with local, state, tribal and federal governmental agencies as well as private entities providing support services; we've provided our Ground Support Management, Fire Fighters and Vehicle resources on all of the largest wild fires in California history.
HIS Design Planning and Drafting Service includes our GIS mapping and project planning and management services. We work with government and private entities assisting them from concept to project completion.
