Hybrid Incident Support

Our team of certified fire fighters has worked with CAL Fire, USFS, ODF, and other government and private entities to provide fire fighting, fire abatement and fire control services. 

Hybrid Incident Support crews are committed to providing professionalism and efficiency as the accomplish IC's objectives. Our safety protocol and focus on team work has earned our crews Excellent ratings time and time again.

H.I.S. also provides  Prescribed Burns services  and management to assist local fire groups and gov't. agencies in reducing hazardous fuels and promoting fire hardening and defensibility against destructive wildfires.

Prescribed burning includes burn area preparation where Burn Objectives are communicated and abatement procedures are conducted to ensure that the objectives of the burn can be carried out in as safe and effective manner as possible. Burn Objectives dictate the amount and intensity of the prep work to be done. This could be as simple as "laying line" or may require fuels reduction work on the under and middle stories.

During an active burn, our team patrols the burn perimeter with a fire engine and/or uses hand tools such as shovels, hoes, picks and flappers to control the fire line. Our fire team can assist you with successfully obtaining your burn goals.

Our Emergency Support Staff and Equipment have assisted on dozens of natural disasters including California's largest wildfires, the August Complex fire, the Dixie Fire, and the Mendocino Complex .H.I.S. provides  trained personnel to directly battle wildfire on the line and to support transportation, logistics and ground support management in base camp. We consistently provide excellent support services to accomplish the team's objectives. We have supplied our resources to CAL Fire, USFA, ODF, BIA, and other private and government agencies in the Western United States.
